Software Localization
Software localization
inLocalization offers a complete set of software localization solutions that will help you successfully launch your products in international markets.
Software localization mainly involves three types of contents: user interfaces, online help, and user documentation. They are independent but interconnected. Although they have different formats and ways of presentation, they are connected in that a subject remains consistent in different places. Building upon its excellent project teams, inLocalization has adopted industry-leading techniques and quality control measures, and laid emphasis on quality control through proper workflows, thus ensuring the localized software is of the highest possible quality.
User Interfaces
※ Select CAT tools based on the development tools and format of source files, and separate translatable contents from codes that need to be protected.
※ Choose translators who are familiar with both the technical contents and software development to carry out the translation work. Ensure such special contents as hot keys and variables are handled in the right way.
※ Conduct verification after translation, to prevent functional damages. Resize dialogue boxes and ensure correct layout of controls.
※ Conduct software functional and linguistic tests, to ensure the localized software is of high quality.
※ Prepare user interface translation memory, ensuring user interface items are translated in a consistent way in the online help and user documentation.
Online Help & User Documentation
※ Select CAT tools based on the development tools and ensure complete translation.
※ Confirm the type and filtering criteria for the files to be translated to ensure correct filtering of all content.
※ Analyze screenshots in the Source files and graphics that need to be translated/edited, and present a list of pictures the client ought to provide for localization, or take screenshots under the guidance of the clients.
※ Compile the localized files, convert codes, replace pictures and then conduct tests and make corrections.
User Documents
※ Choose the right localization tools based on the tools used by the client to create the documents, so as to insure that the content is complete and the format is correct.
※ Determine the type of the translatable files and the filter criteria so as to insure accurate filtering of all files and contents.
※ Analyze screenshots displayed in the Help and pictures that need to be translated/edited; provide a list of localized pictures that the client needs to supply, or take screenshots under the guidance of the client.
※ Conduct typesetting for the localized file, change the font, style, and layout as appropriate; check the output file for translation and formatting mistakes and make corrections.
